Week 6 - Landscapes

I went extremely overboard with this assignment, but I had so much fun do it! The first photo is a picture from my yard. The next 5 are from the private beach by my place!!! I thought it was going to be too late in the evening to take a decent picture but I think they came out very well and have a sense of peace and serenity to them. I know there are a lot of photos, but please bare with me and keeps scrolling!

These next pictures I drove all around looking for the "perfect" landscape areas. I had specific images in my mind that I wanted to capture and at first was really disappointed that I was getting the same old trees, mountains and lake photos. The more I walked around and took trails I never had been on before, and the more I drove around I found multiple opportunities that added a bit extra to the normal landscape picture. Keep scrolling!

I was specifically looking for a old vacant barn or house that was somewhat falling apart and the grass was overgrown, but unfortunately I did not get such photo, however I feel in love with this tractor in the field. I felt these picture we stunning and worked very well into this assignment.

Then I drove by my friends house and remembered she had access to the docks!! While it was your typical water and mountains views I felt the boats added something spectacular.

The one on the right I laid on my stomach on the dock and got my camera down to dock level.

The picture on the left I got especially daring and put my pinkies on the bottom of my camera and rested my pinkies on the top of the water to get this view. I think this is my favorite picture of the day!

As for what it took to get the perfect photo....LOTS OF PICTURES!! Hours of driving around and hiking trails and even if it does not look beautiful at first, the picture as a whole can!

Week 5 - Framing

At first I struggled to find natural framing oppoturnities, however, once I found one, I saw them everywhere. Again the date on my camera was not set (sorry about that). The fire pictures I do not feel were as accomplished as they others, but I felt they were really cool pictures during my attempt!

Week 5 Assignment 2 Thirds

I had a lot of fun with this assignment as it gave a different view for each photo. The thirds pictures seem to add more depth and "action" to the pictures. I find them absolutely stunning. As you can see I took a bit too many and forgot to set the date on my camera after changing the batteries...oops!
