I had so much fun with this assignment! My strategy was to just take many pictures. With people posing and without, and some of my favorite pictures were when people were not posing for me. Then there is the selfie of my friend and I after a long day of work haying a yard! As for difficulties I really did not have any, because I took so many photos. I tried different light sources and lighting angles, I tried different angles in general and a lot the pictures I took (close to 50!!!) came out great.

For this photo, I simply used the erase tool to remove the people in the background.
I created a new layer for this photo and did a gradient background. I then used the erase tool to get the gradient to show and used the clone tool to "fix" the bruise on his knee and the pimple on his nose. I then used the blur tool to go over those two spots.
For this photo I simply used the paint tool and the fuzzy select tool to change the background to black.
For this picture I used the Free select tool to outline the person, then inverted and deleted the background. I then created a new layer and copied the fence background from a different photo, then used the scale tool to make the fence larger. I then created a new layer to add the lily and then used to clone and blur tool to smooth the fence lines around the lily.
This is the last photo I edited for my portraits, I only used the paint tool to color over the date.

You did a great job capturing the personality of all your subjects. I can see the humor in all of them.
ReplyDeleteStunning images and editing!! I can see you were definatly have a lot of fun with them... I absolutely LOVE your image where you just removed the date.. that photo just seems to "come alive" to my eyes and makes you wonder what they are thinking... GREAT JOB!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Naomi that you have done a wonderful job capturing the personality of each of your subjects. All of these folks are very comfortable with you. Whether you prepped them ahead of time or you know them well. You have done a great job!
