Week 10 - Text, Clone, Patch and Paint Tools

So the first picture is my original photo and the second is my altered photo using clone tool to remove my arm and the pillow and crop tool to zoom in a bit and take out some of his surroundings.

For the next set of photos, I used the paint tool and the text tool. The first photo is the original and the second photo is the altered. I used the blotchy paint selection and purposely left white spots, hoping it would keep the fluffy look of the blanket. Then added his name in text, then using the rotate tool to angle the text.

With this last set of pictures, the first being the original again. The first altered photo, I only added text with the text tool. The second altered photo I then took the paint brush and changed the opacity and did a pink overlay in the background.

Week 8 Light and Color Adjustments

For this photo I used the Select by Color tool on her eyes and then filled in the color, I used the same selection tool for the green edges but used the paint brush and for the blue I used the Fuzzy selection and then the paint brush. I then changed the brightness and contrast.

For the following pictures I used the Color Selection Toll to select all the black in the image and then used the Bucket Fill tool change the color. For the third image, I also used the Color balance selection. For the last photo of Abby, I filled it in with the Bucket Fill tool and then I used the blur tool.

For Damien and Cheyenne, I used a small paint brush and lowered the opacity and changed the color Cheyenne's hair. I then changed  the color of the top of her dress the same way, in addition to using the blur tool. For the bottom of her dress in the first photo I used the same method as I did with her hair only with the blur tool. In the second photo us I used the paint brush with full opacity in addition to a second layer with gradient tool, I also used the pencil to create the "pleats" and the blend tool.

For this photo I used the color select tool and the bucket fill tool to change the color of the flame.

For the next two photos I used the scissor tool to select our hands, then the fill tool. Then I used the blur tool and Contrast and Brightness.

Week 7 -GIMP

I struggled with this a bit at first as I could not get my other images to show on the background. Then I figured out what I was doing wrong. I was forgetting to add the alpha channel.

So for this first photo, I have included the three photos I combined below. The owl is resting on the front of the tractor and the horse is in the background.

Again, below I have included the pictures used to make my final photo. These ones are the bridge arch and a photo of lake with boats docked.
