Please let me know what you think which photos should make it into my photostory! Thanks everyone in advance for your feedback and support this semester!
Cute little guy...or gal. What is it? Does it have a name? I'm guessing, and I could be wrong, the focus of your story is of coaxing your shy little pet out into the great, wide, living room! Here are my two cents for what they're worth.
-It's hard to tell what photo #1 is. Maybe a different angle or lighting would do the trick. -Cut the amount of feeding photos down to about 3 (shy beginning, more trusting middle, and finally one of it eating IN your hand). The two you have that look like you are simply handing him a piece of cracker and him grabbing it with his little paws is adorable :). -Lastly, are there better backgrounds you could use to photograph him in front of? One with it on the zebra print blanket taking up the entire background might be a neat one. How about a close up or two? Are there any toys he particularly likes to play with that would look good in a photo? Just some thoughts.
Thanks for the feedback! He is a SugarGlider and his name is Petrie!! Actually just got him so I am trying to bond with him and get him used to my scents and comfortable with my hand near his pouch! There are certainly better backgrounds I could do (or change the background for my final), I am hoping to get better photos of him with everyday that we bond.
I just saw a sugar glider at the library last week. They said that they make extremely noisy pets at night but they are so cute. It is hard to see what the picture is of in the first couple photos but I see some great potential with some of the other photos. I look forward to seeing the edited versions.
This is an excellent idea that is similar to using your own children as the subject. Because it is something significant in your life, you will have more fun working with these images. Just be careful that you don't get too afraid of making changes. Save the originals and make copies to work with and then go nuts on them. Make it obvious that you are making changes… Most of all, have fun!
