I went extremely overboard with this assignment, but I had so much fun do it! The first photo is a picture from my yard. The next 5 are from the private beach by my place!!! I thought it was going to be too late in the evening to take a decent picture but I think they came out very well and have a sense of peace and serenity to them. I know there are a lot of photos, but please bare with me and keeps scrolling!
These next pictures I drove all around looking for the "perfect" landscape areas. I had specific images in my mind that I wanted to capture and at first was really disappointed that I was getting the same old trees, mountains and lake photos. The more I walked around and took trails I never had been on before, and the more I drove around I found multiple opportunities that added a bit extra to the normal landscape picture. Keep scrolling!
I was specifically looking for a old vacant barn or house that was somewhat falling apart and the grass was overgrown, but unfortunately I did not get such photo, however I feel in love with this tractor in the field. I felt these picture we stunning and worked very well into this assignment.
The picture on the left I got especially daring and put my pinkies on the bottom of my camera and rested my pinkies on the top of the water to get this view. I think this is my favorite picture of the day!
As for what it took to get the perfect photo....LOTS OF PICTURES!! Hours of driving around and hiking trails and even if it does not look beautiful at first, the picture as a whole can!
Love the variety!!! Great shots!! Landscapes are so perfect... so much to see & imagine in each one!! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the composition of the third one down on the left hand side, nice use of rule of thirds and diagonal lines. Also the railroad tracks through the stone archway. The train tracks reminded me of an illustration for a book, an unusual viewpoint for looking ahead to adventure.
ReplyDeleteThat is very brave to get your camera so close to the water. After my son ruined mine last year by washing it for me, I am paranoid about water. I actually gasped out loud when I saw how well the framed shot of the railway was. It was a perfect framing and landscape photo. I kept trying to find something of interest to add into my photos but I found it very difficult to find an open landscape with one object of interest. I also took a ton of photos to do this project and traveled like crazy. I even hiked a mountain just to take photos! Very nice pictures and great ways to think outside the box to get great shots.
ReplyDeleteAwesome variety of photos. My favorites are the water. They make you feel so peaceful looking at them.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! Amanda, I too hiked a bit to get some of the shots, I was sunburned by the end of my field trips!
ReplyDeleteI really like the second to last photo, made me feel as though I was actually in the water! Great job capturing these moments.
ReplyDeleteNice variety! My favorite is the road along the ledge. I also like the ones where you put your camera close to the water (daring!) because it makes the waves look different then the angle we see them from and gives the photo nice texture.
